Haggling
Haggling, online at last.
Where we come from, talking the price down is part of the sale. Komerxe treats it as a feature, not as a problem.
“What’s your best price?”
How it works
Four steps, and the sale is made
1
The customer makes an offer
On the product page, they say what they are ready to pay.
2
Komerxe answers
Above the floor, the shop accepts or counters halfway. Below it, the shop works back up towards the floor, and the last offer is final.
3
You decide when needed
An email takes you to a reply page, no login required: accept, counter or decline, with your margin in front of you.
4
The agreed price goes to checkout
The agreement holds for 24 hours, for the quantity agreed, and can be used once.
Three ways to haggle, or a firm price
| Mode | Who answers | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Firm price | Nobody: the price is not up for discussion | Products with tight margins |
| Automatic | Komerxe, by your rules | Selling at night without lifting a finger |
| Manual | You, for every offer | One-off pieces and large amounts |
| Mixed | Komerxe above the floor, you below it. If you have not answered by the deadline, Komerxe does | The best of both |
Confidential
Your floor is a secret.
It is worked out from your maximum discount, your cost price and your minimum price. It appears neither on the shop, nor in emails to the buyer, nor in the API.
Also included

Frequently asked questions
Can a haggled price be combined with a coupon?
No. An agreed price never stacks with a coupon: your margin has already been negotiated.
Which products can be haggled over?
Products at a fixed price: physical goods, files, courses and licences. A pay-what-you-want price already belongs to the buyer, a booking is booked, and a bundle follows the price of its contents.
What if I do not answer an offer?
In mixed mode, Komerxe answers for you once the deadline has passed. No customer is left without a reply.
